Pop Crowell Results
WENHAM, Mass. - The Western New England College men's cross-country team came through with another strong showing finishing sixth among 24 schools at the Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational Saturday (Oct. 3).
Sophomore
Jeff Wagner (Norwalk, CT) once again paced the Golden Bears' taking 19th among 221 runners with a time of 28 minutes, 8 second over the 8,000-meter course.
Senior co-captain
Tucker Jones (Bowdoin, ME) was 41st in 29:19.
WNEC had three runners finish within four seconds of one another as
Mike Barbacano (Bedford, MA) was 51st (29:28) followed by
Devin Graham (Sutton,MA) (29:30), and
John Nicol (Carmel, NY) (29:32). All three are juniors.
Johnson & Wales freshman
Greg Redfield was the individual champion (26:31).
Gordon freshman
Josh Porizky was second (26:52) in helping the host Fighting Scots take the team title.
