SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Western New England College senior point guard Rick Johnson (Springfield, MA) was named to The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Men's Basketball All-Star Second Team on Tuesday (Feb. 23).

Johnson leads the Golden Bears in scoring (16.8 avg.), assists (117), and steals (34). He is shooting 47.4% from the field and 68.5% from the foul line. He is a Business major.

Western New England College posted a 12-13 record during the regular season after finishing with a 9-16 mark a year go.

The Golden Bears tied for fourth in the league with a 7-6 record to receive the seventh seed in the league tournament.

WNEC will visit second-seed Wentworth (14-10, 10-3 TCCC) at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 23) in a quarterfinal round game of the playoffs.
