SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Seniors
Tim Santye (Skillman, NJ) and
Nick Zaleski (Somers, CT) head the list of eight Western New England College players named to The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) All-Star Team Friday (Apr. 30).
Santye (an attack player) and Zaleski (a defender) both made the All-TCCC First Team.
Four players gained All-Conference Second Team honors, junior defender
Billy Kelsey (Yorktown Heights, NY), junior midfielder
Mike Santare (South Salem, NY), sophomore goalie
Brewster Knowlton (Somers, CT), and sophomore midfielder
Patrick White (Milton, MA).
Junior midfielder
J. Michael Nardella (Beverly, MA) and freshman defender
Brian Leistikow (Fort Collins, CO) each received Honorable Mention recognition.
Western New England College finished with an 11-5 record during the regular season and tied for first (with Endicott) in the conference with a 9-1 mark.
The Golden Bears, who received the second seed in the league playoffs, will host seventh-seeded Curry at 4:00 p.m. Saturday (May 1) in a quarterfinal contest of TCCC Tournament.
