KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State field hockey team used a balanced scoring attack in posting a 3-1 victory over visiting Western New England College in the season opener for both teams Wednesday evening (Sept. 1).
The Owls led 2-0 at halftime following goals by junior

Kaitlyn Simula (Bridgewater, NH). Junior
Alslynn Sherry (Rehobeth, MA) added the final score 2:11 into the second half.
The Golden Bears' averted the shutout when freshman midfielder
Sarah Race (Cazenovia, NY) hit the net on her first collegiate attempt. Sophomore goalie
Kaitlyn Hall (Pawtucket, RI) compiled seven saves.
