Golden Bears unable to overcome early deficit
BABSON PARK, Mass. (August 30, 2019) – An early goal for the home team proved to be the difference in the contest as the Western New England University men's soccer team fell to Babson College, 1-0, in the Golden Bears' 2019 season opener on Friday afternoon at Hartwell-Rogers Field.
Babson sophomore midfielder Mitchell Collins (Burlington, Mass.) tallied the lone goal of the game for the Beavers, while senior goalkeeper Steven Heintzelman (Middleton, Mass.) registered a four-save shutout.

The Golden Bears outshot the home team 7-5 in the second half, but they were unable to find the back of the net. A late header attempt by senior forward Connor Prindle (Shelton, Conn.) was stopped by Heintzelman as Babson held on to secure the win.
