Western New England College dominates action in win over Ramapo

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - The Western New England College men's tennis team dominated action in posting an 7-2 victory over Ramapo (N.J.) Wednesday afternoon (March 18) for its second straight win.

Senior co-captains Alex Boutin (Bristol, CT) and Jason Lee (Scarsdale, NY) led the way for the Golden Bears in winning their No. 1 singles (6-3, 6-4) and No. 4 singles (6-2, 6-0) matches in straight sets. They teamed to capture their No. 2 doubles match (8-2).

Sophomore Brian Relihan (Orange, CT) fought back to take his No. 2 singles flight (3-6, 6-0, 6-2) and teamed with classmate Mike Jones (Stone Ridge, NY) for a win at No. 1 doubles (8-1).

Jones had the longest and most exciting match rallying for a 1-6, 7-6 (10-8), 6-3 decision at the No. 3 singles position.

The Golden Bears are 2-1 during their spring break trip and 2-2 overall.
