David Proulx is entering his seventh year as an assistant coach with the Western New England University women's basketball program for the 2015-16 season. In addition to his scouting, on-court coaching and practice preparation responsibilities, Proulx serves as the team's recruiting coordinator.
The East Longmeadow, Mass., native also works as the Compliance Director and Scheduling Coordinator for the Golden Bears. He is primarily responsible for NCAA compliance as well as team and facility scheduling.
Proulx served as an athletic department intern during the 2009 spring semester and was responsible for contest management, scheduling, compliance and budgeting. He also worked with the school's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Prior to joining the Western New England staff, Proulx was a girls' varsity assistant coach at Agawam High School.
He was the head coach of the 2009 and 2011 West girls' basketball team that won gold medals at the Massachusetts Bay State Games.
Proulx is a 2006 graduate of Boston University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology. While at BU, he was a manager of the men's basketball team from 2004-2006. He earned a master of education degree in sport management from Springfield College in December 2012.
Proulx lives in East Longmeadow, MA with his wife Michelle and daughter Avery.
