Western New England College suffers first loss at Bridgewater State

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - The Western New England College women's swimming team suffered its first loss of the season at Bridgewater State College 144-101 on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 4).

Sophomore Jamie Campo (Port Jefferson, NY) won two events for the Golden Bears, the 100-yard freestyle (58.79) and 500 freestyle (5:46.77). She also placed second in the 200 freestyle (2:12.56).

Senior co-captain Ashley Korbut (South Hadley, MA) took first in the 200 individual medley (2:38.99).

Freshman Krista Goulet (Saco, ME) came in second in three events, the 50 freestyle (26.49), 200 backstroke (2:24.93), and 100 butterfly (1:10.78).

Senior co-captain Lindsay Frenkel (Watertown, CT) took second in the 200 individual medley (3:00.09).
