Western New England College ends season at NEISDA Championship

DURHAM, N.H.  –  Western New England College ended its season by placing 17th at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championship Sunday night (Feb. 18) at the University of New Hampshire.

Freshman Krista Goulet (Saco, ME) had the best showing for the Golden Bears taking sixth in the 100 individual medley (1:06.59) to earn All-New England recognition.

Sophomore Jamie Campo (Port Jefferson, NY) totaled 37 points to lead all Western New England College performers. She was seventh in the 200 freestyle (2:04.10) and 10th in the 100 freestyle (57.62).

The Golden Bears’ 400 freestyle relay team of Campo, senior co-captain Ashley Korbut (South Hadley, MA), junior Cori Eggert (Denville, NJ), and Goulet finished 13th with a school record time of 3:57.07.
