SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Sophomore swimmng standout Jamie Campo (Port Washington, NY) was honored Wednesday (Dec. 6) as the Western New England College Female Athlete-of-the-Week.
Campo placed first in both the 100-yard freestyle (57.49 seconds) and 200 freestyle (2:07.53) at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship. She also swam the first leg on the winning 200 freestyle relay team.
Campo had a time of 57.04 seconds in the preliminaries of the 100 freestyle, which was a personal record.
She is a Psychology major.
Western New England College placed third among seven schools in the team standings.
