Women's Cross Country Scratches Anna Maria College AMCATS, 18-45, in 2015 Opener at Home
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--With nine of the top-10 individual places, the Western New England University women's cross country team raced past Anna Maria College, 18-45, in its 2015 season opener at home on Saturday.

Western New England sophomore Kathleen Silveira edged freshman teammate Meagan Dias by seven seconds for the individual win in 22 minutes and 3 seconds.

Junior Maureen Moore paced the AMCATS with a No. 3 finish in 22:40, which was tied with WNE freshman Kaitlin Armstrong.

Western New England is back in action next Saturday at the Smith College Invitational in Northampton.
