Fitness Classes


The Western New England University Recreation Department provides a variety of fitness classes taught by local instructors and students. Each semester will have a set weekly schedule. Classes are held in the Aerobics Room and in the Functional Training Room. Classes may be cancelled due to university closure or instructor illness.

Group Fitness classes are free to all facility patrons. Participation will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Classes serve patrons at all fitness levels, and can be adapted for beginners through advanced skill levels. Class size is dependent on the size of the room for the individual class.

Many of our fitness instructors are instructors-in-training.Participation in any fitness activity is at the patron’s own risk, and instructors are not liable for any fatigue or injury that may occur during the class.
